Producer
(Theatre, festivals and event management)
An experienced producer, working in festivals and event management since my teenage years, and in theatres and arts organisations producing shows, youth theatre, schools tours and community projects for 10+ years.
I have an eye for programming, ensuring dynamic and exciting line-ups, as well as thriving in on-the-day event delivery and a keen eye for detail necessary for producing successful events.
I love working with brilliant producers to further my own artistic practice, and love working with other people to make their dreams a reality. I have a brilliant network of collaborators of producers and performers and love to expand that network and collaborate with new people and projects. Working as a performer and a producer gives me a unique knowledge and understanding of the process, and an insight into the point of view of multiple roles within the giant whirring machine that is putting on a show and I hope makes me better to work with in both roles.
I was the Children and Young Persons Programme Manager at Bradford Literature Festival in 2023 - producing the worlds biggest World Book Day Event (Featuring legends Lenny Henry and MC Grammar). As well as programming 80+ artists, scientists, egyptologists, poets, authors and speakers including Keith Ellison, Attorney General of Minnesota and first Muslim person to be sworn into congress and lead prosecutor in George Floyds murder trial, to speak with over 40,000 children in Bradford City Centre venues (Historic theatres and university lecture halls) over a 10 day period.
